The changes on the job market, the expectations from today’s employees of practical skills, good knowledge of technology and excellent vocational training supported by good foreign language level make school do its best in order to meet these requirements and prepare school graduates to enter the world of work with confidence and self-assurance.Learning in the classroom does not allow students to acquire skills good enough to fulfill expectations of future employers. As a result, the school wants to help its students undertake the training abroad in order to raise the quality, attractiveness and effectiveness of vocational training and enable teachers to improve both their qualifications and teaching skills. That is why we would like to provide our teachers with Job Shadowing and our students and graduates with vocational traineeship in the UK, Spain and Germany. In 2017, two teachers will go to Germany. Vitalis GMBH will be the organization providing 5 day Job Shadowing with the program covering the topics of German vocational counseling system. Teachers will have the opportunity to observe the work of foreign institution providing advisory services and participate in classes in one of German schools.The apprenticeship for undergraduate/graduate students will take place in 5 groups in the years 2016-2018. Training institutions for 70 students are Tellus Group Ltd-Tellus College (UK), Vitalis GMBH (Germany) and EuroMind Projects (Spain).English and German partners declared to organize 4 week traineeship in Plymouth and Leipzig best facilities for 3 groups of students (44 students). As for the UK, the students are supposed to take part in dual training which includes vocational apprenticeship in companies and AptEd course. The vocational traineeship will be organized in groups of 2 or 3 persons.Spanish partner declared to organize 2 week apprenticeship for 2 groups of students (26 students) in the fields of land surveying and building construction in Seville and Ubeda. Each group will have its own manager (the person working in the given place) and training will be monitored by manager of Tellus Group Ltd., Vitalis Gmbh and EuroMind Projects and a teacher - traineeship guardian of the Building Schools Complex (ZSB). At the time of doing the traineeship, students will master English or German language and culture of the host country thanks to language courses (UK, Spain), cultural activities, sightseeing tours or host families in the UK.Students will take part in intense English, Spanish or German language courses a few months before their departure to the UK, Spain or Germany. They will also participate in workshops about stress, conflict solutions, vocational counseling and safety regulations in the workplace, the ability of creating portfolio. The main aim of the project is to enable students of construction industry, land surveying, logistics, catering and hotel industry to gain and improve vocational skills in attractive workplace conditions as well as to give them the opportunity to increase their chances on the job market. Moreover, students will be able to get to know needs of the European employers and European job market. Other aims include raising students’ vocational mobility, providing the opportunity to verify the knowledge and skills gained in school, practicing language skills. At the same time, the school itself will gain experience in handling international projects.Thanks to the project, all 70 participants will get new qualifications and vocational skills inthe UK, Spain and Germany confirmed by certificate and the Europass Mobility in Polish, English, Spanish and German languages, ECVET, they will be able to improve their English language (English language course certificates), will benefit from educational activities, learn how to deal with stressful situations, create their own EUROPASS CV and electronic Portfolio. All these things will significantly help students look for better job opportunities in the future. The main aim of the project for teachers will be the possibility of gaining the knowledge about the organization of vocational counseling system in Germany, getting to know the new work methods of German advisors and comparing them with the Polish system. Exchanging and sharing the experience, establishing contacts with German institutions of vocational guidance are very important. Teachers will also improve their linguistic, social and cultural skills.The Building Schools Complex in Konin (ZSB Konin) will present project results on school website, exhibitions, seminaries and will include vocational internship in the school curriculum. The project itself will contribute to the promotion of school and its students’ achievements (future graduates) in local environment
