The most important result of the project is to activate and encourage young people to make aid efforts in order to help their peers from the Third World countries. Secondly, the project is to establish a group of volunteers among the young. And, last but not least, it involves building a social-educational Internet platform, which in turn will make it possible to develop the project, in spite of the distance separating the groups.Our young participants (secondary-school students and first-year university students) are going to be recruited both in Poland and Lithuania, among the groups constantly cooperating with the partners. Our goal is that a large group of young people from the Podkarpackie Region will join the project, and so the young people from the Vilnius Region. The most important phase is to develop and carry out an aid programme in cooperation with the enrolled secondary school (English-speaking) from one of the South African countries – young African people will be able to judge and evaluate the ideas of their peers from the European Union.The volunteer animators, chosen among the engaged young people involved in the project, are going to be trained in the two countries – Poland and Lithuania. Next, they are going to meet at the conference, held to evaluate the programme. Also, during the above mentioned conference, our volunteer animators are going to meet experts in the realm of voluntary work among the young.On the one hand, the social-educational Internet platform, which is going to be multilingual, will offer a possibility to acquire and improve their knowledge and abilities regarding aid efforts in the Third World countries. On the other hand, the platform is going to help implement certain projects, integrating volunteers and making it possible for them to get to know one another.To sum up, conducting the programme is to build a foundation for the organisation and preparation of the development of aid voluntary work among young people in Poland and Lithuania at first, and then in other European Union countries.
