EuropeanVisionContest
Start date: Jan 15, 2016, End date: Jul 14, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

"How to live a European future?" - is the central issue of "EuropeanVisionContest". A youth exchange for 60 young people age 15-27 from Russia, Germany, Poland and Hungary. The exchange is supposed to take place from March 27th - April 3rd at the djo-guesthouse in Duderstadt, Germany. War-conflicts in and around Europe, ongoing recession in many european states, growing tendencies of right wing nationalism and fear of migration and refugees: Many young people from Russia, Poland, Hungary and Germany are facing a number of social and political challenges in their countries. Sergej from Astrachan is worried about his economic future, Gosia from Poland senses fear of military conflicts. Gabi from Hungary misses freedom of the press. Enrico from Germany thinks that there are too many refugees in the country. Mahdi worries about friends and family he left behind. He is dreaming of peace and security in his new home in Germany. For many young people today the european idea is associated with crisis rather than chances. Which challenges and opportunities do young europeans perceive? What are the visions for a european unity in twenty years? Openness or demarcation? Growing together or falling apart? The "EuropeanVisionContest" invites the participants to work on these questions in form of artistic and mediaworkshops to find diverse answers - or more questions. The results will be presented in a public presentation and online format.
