The project aims to construct a network throughout Europe that will allow photography students and their schools to gain recognition outside of their home countries. The project will build the infrastructure needed to gradually expand across Europe. Each year participating countries will organise a competition in which an independent jury will review submissions and select 3 national winners. National winners will be promoted through a catalogue sent to galleries, art centres and photography institutes all over Europe. Moreover, they will participate in a joint European exhibition, creating the ideal setting for a celebration of Europe's social and cultural diversity and for creating links between photographers, their schools and photography professionals. During this exhibition a final selection of 3 European winners will be awarded the prize for European Young Photographer of the Year.
