European Region For Youth: Let's create an active network

The ERY network (European Region for youth), created in 2007, including 10 regions (Aquitaine-France, Lower Silesia-Poland, Emilia Romagna-Italy, Gozo-Malte, Hessen-Germany, Brittany-France, Vastra Gotaland-Sweden, Valencia-Spain, Wales-Great Britain, Wielkopolska-Poland) is meant to develop the participation of young people and intercultural exchanges. Cooperation between those regions will be increased and the network in the youth political field developed.
The aim of the project is to gather different persons and institutions working for the European Union in the youth field. A focus will be placed on the mobility opportunities for young people in Europe and on training for youth professional workers accompanying them.
For this project, Concordia work in cooperation with four other structures, namely: Cooperativa sociale Kara Bobowski from Italy, Haus am Maiberg from Germany, l'Asociación ÁGORA CULTURAL from Spain et UNISER SOC. COOP. ONLUS from Italy.
The general objective is to improve cooperation and the settling of a strong network between the main partners of the project in the youth policies field: the region of Aquitaine, Emilia-Romagna and Hessen.
Several activities have been planned:
-Job shadowing – from March to September 2016: it will concern 30 youth professional workers in order to improve the quality of youth projects and working partnership.
-EVS short term – from July to August 2016: 20 young EVS short term will be sent for a period of 2 weeks to 2 months in our partner organizations.
-Training for young people – November 2016: a training for 21 young people will be held on the project management for 9 days with 4 trainers from at least 2 different countries.
By getting to know each other, the different actors will make projects between their regions emerge: political projects with young people and elected representative.
A political seminar will be included in the project in order to discuss the role of the regions in the youth European policies and to compare the point of view of the different actors.
