The “Vocational School Donnersbergkreis” requested to participate in Leonardo da Vinci MOB IVT with a total of 24 trainees for periods between four and eight weeks in the school term 2014/2015. The participants are trainees in different years of training in the areas of "metal", Sozialversicherungskaufrau /-mann, health education pedagogy, who are in their second or third year of training at the time of their foreign practical training.
The”Vocational School Donnersbergkreis” is working in the program “Comenius School Partnerships” since 2001 and in the “Leonardo da Vinci Mobility Program for Vocational Training” since 2006/2007.
Targets:
The trainees should get to know further fields of activity and spectrums of their recognized occupation that requires formal training within the EU during their foreign practical training, should adopt in a self-responsible way, extend and intensify the theoretical skills acquired in the vocational school, should find out job-related key aspects in the partner county and should take over specific tasks under tutelage.
They should test their own range of effectivity and should get involved with professionals of the partner institution in teamwork.
Furthermore, the trainees should develop personal skills socially and culturally through their foreign practical training by way of interacting communicatively and representatively for their home in the partner institution, should discover and respect cross-cultural similarities and differences and should strengthen their vocational and live practical competencies through acting self-responsibly within and outside of the partner institution
Expected results:
The interns will on the one hand serve the weekly work schedules, and on the other hand will greatly expand their personal and professional horizons.
They profit directly in their current vocational training by the experiences they were able to acquire in a partner institution abroad, can innovatively enrich their vocational institution by new skills and can further develop their professional role by an increase in personal competences.
They enrich their training contents by their experiences by way of with education by training content can be comparatively discussed and problematized.
