Project background:
European Peer Education - Learning with and from peers in the workplace; cooperation and internatiomalisation of learners (trainees) and VET staff
Project targets:
- Out-of-school education
- On the job training in European countries outside Germany
- Learning with peers
- Improvement of language and communication skills (foreign language acquisition)
- Increasing of self-competence and self-monitoring (of learrning processes)
- Increasing of intercultural awareness
- Intensifying partnerships/cooperation at the individual and system level
Number and profile of the participants:
1x 8 and 1x 10 VET students (trainees) of the 2nd year (childcarers/remedial therapists/gerontological nurses/hotel and restaurant professions), 7 x VET staff (arrangung programmes, subject-related and professional learning activities at the partner institutions)
Description of activities:
Internships at institutions/enterprises of the partner countries lasting four weeks; learning agreements with the participants serve as a basis for the activities.

Results/effectiveness/value:
- VET students (trainees): e. g. increasing of self-competence, language skills, internationalising, experiencing new/other learning aids and strategies/methods, gaining experiences through learning on the training;
- VET staff: systems comparison, internationalising, developing future projects and partnerships;
- Alice-Salomon-Schule school system: cooperation and internationalising, general schol development, positive image, intensifying and developing partnerships/cooperations
