„European Games” is a youth exchange from Poland, Slovakia and Lithuania that will follow first European Games taking place in 2015. The aim of the project is to promote positive examples among young people from under-developed environments through sport activities and intercultural workshops. There will be 39 youths participating in the project, who on their own will prepare all activities that reflect their interests and need in the daily life. The event will be located in Murzasichle and will last for 8 days, 21-28 May 2016. Thanks to promotion of sport spirit, rules of cooperation and fair rivalry as well as constant contact with the peers from different countries, the youth can start believing in themselves, get to know their strong points, form their characters. The project will allow rebelled and unprivileged youngsters to overcome hopeless reality that surrounds them in underfunded environments and without the attention of the elders to their needs. The participants will find out how important the diversity is together with tolerance. Also, the universal language of sport is constructive and spreads positive values. Due to the informal educational methods the youth will not feel uncomfortable with using foreign language as much as they can, they will stay outdoors taking advantage of good weather and they will learn games, which are inaccessible during classes at school. Young people will broaden their minds communicating with representatives from other cultures, they will get inspired for next projects and they will find their place in the bigger peer group. We want to boost creativity of young people, make sure the initiatives are on their sides as well as make them feel like they are part of important European events. In the long term perspective we hope that cooperation with the partners will develop and the youth will actively support their environments encouraging society to take part in joint projects, especially those connected to sport.
