The European Fitness Day has as its overarching objective to engage more European citizens in fitness and physical activities in support of the European Week of SportThe specific objectives of the European Fitness Day are to1. Build the capacity of project partners and event deliverers to offer inclusive, relevant and attractive physical activity and fitness offers during and beyond the European Fitness Day2. Develop and disseminate 15.000 free and accessible physical activity and fitness offers and events during the European Fitness Day.3. Raise awareness among European citizens about the benefits of being active and the diversity and attractiveness of fitness-oriented activities in that regard. The European Fitness Day builds on the British success National Fitness Day lead by ukactive, and this good practice will be used and transferred in the European concept. At the same time, the European Fitness Day will exploit the experience and platform of ISCAs European NowWeMOVE campaign to have maximum reach and impact.Key indicators- Satisfaction with capacity building among project partners, National Conveners, Event Deliverers: 100%, 80%, 75% Fully satisfied or Satisfied - Number of European citizens engaging in European Fitness Day offers: 750.000 (avg 50/event)- Number of European Fitness Day events across Europe: 15.000 (UK 2015: 7500)- Number of Event Deliverers: 3000 (UK 2015: 1514 venues)- Number of National Conveners engaged: 15- Number of countries involved (events on offer via centralised web site): 20- Number of European Week of Sport National Coordinating Bodies join efforts for European Fitness Day: 8- Total online reach: 60 million people (UK 2015: 29,5)- Total online ads and search reach: 30 million people- Total social media reach: 30 million people - Total European Fitness Day web site visits: 50.000- Number of external media articles: 400 (UK 2015: 200)15) Number of articles in owned (non-social) media: 100
