Automotive manufacturers are rapidly developing new – more environmentally friendly – technology. This results in a significant grow in the number of electrically propelled vehicles on the European market. The technology used in these cars is new for the sector and causes discrepancies in skills of workers and skills needed to work on these vehicles. Currently there is insufficient training and education material available in the field of safe maintenance, repair and diagnosis of electrically propelled vehicles in order to prepare the current and future automotive technicians (our VET students) for this new technology.
