Réseau en scène Languedoc-Roussillon is a place dedicated to the development of performing arts. The volunteer will develop his cultural sensibility for 9 months period of time. He will be in continuous contact with the artistic field of the region, from every disciplines of performing arts. Moreover, the volunteer will have the possibility to acquire a knowledge linked to the sector of performing arts and of territorial public action on a scale of a French region. Finally, as the association is engaged in cooperation with other regions of France and of Europe (notably Spain), the volunteer will have the occasion to participate to this mission.The volunteer will attend different kinds of performances and take part into artistic discussions, he will discover our resources and working methods around the european projects building, he/she will also have the possibility to improve his/her communication skills and utilisation of social networks. The volunteer will be hosted at Réseau en scène Languedoc Roussillon in Montpellier (South of France).The city provides lots of cultural activities and leisures .The numerous universities of the city are attracting lots of students and the city is also famous for its patrimony and touristic interests. Seduced by Montpellier’s designer style and contemporary architectural works, the New York Times named the city as one of the top 45 places to go in 2012. City Hall designed by the most celebrated architect in France Jean Nouvel and the 2 new tramway lines by Christian Lacroix… Less than three hours from Barcelona and Italy, and just 11 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, Montpellier is the ideal destination to live or study, offering international festivals, dance, music, and world-class exhibition .The planning we are heading to organize for the volunteer will be divided into intern activities from our association but also meetings and workshops that will be organized with local young people. Stafff spirit The volunteer will be integrated to the staff of Réseau en scène Languedoc-Roussillon and he will be able to develop his spirit of initiative and of undertake. Certain activities will be managed in staff to which the volunteer will be integrated. For certain task it will be instead the spirit of initiative and of autonomy of volunteer who will be solicited and promoted. Of course this training will do in gradually way meanwhile Social competences The volunteer will have occasion to meet various people and public. We think that this will favour his openness and he will be able to develop his social competences. These social and civic competences will be useful in the professional field during the meetings organised by Réseau en scène Languedoc-Roussillon. During these events, the volunteer will improve his own network and networking, in formal and informal ways. Volunteer's activities All activities will be chosen and adapted to the competences and language skills of the volunteer. 1)European projects are an essential part of the development of the association. The volunteer will be involved in the development of new projects. Once acquired the main purpose of it, he will be able to: - put in relationship and network various partners - make proposals in term of partnerships and projects - facilitate the communication on projects - accompany the employee in charge of the projects To conclude, the volunteer will participate in the animation of on-line spaces ( in English, French or other languages), related to European projects. 2)Professional meetings The young person will have the occasion to participate in the development of these meetings, which are open to people interested in performing arts. They take forms of conferences, debates or workshops about actuality subjects. The activities proposed: - The volunteer will be able to participate to the communication: to create a diffusion plan with his mentor, to create a message of communication, to use the database for mailings, - The volunteer will be able to get acquainted to the logistic organization during these days (stakeholders and public welcoming...) The volunteer will be able to participate to the development of meeting’s content. In the end of his voluntary, the volunteer will be able to create a thematic with regard to his EVS experience, for example about mobility of young people interesting in art and culture. 3)Communication The volunteer will acquire skills in communication in various occasions, in formal and informal ways, during team meetings, or during professional meetings for example. While talking with partners or audience, while realizing practically communication tools, traditionnal ones or digital ones, the volunteer will develop skills in informatics, digitals, and communication tools and strategies.
