European Core Learning Outcomes for the Integration of Support and Housing

The project addresses a need for CVET on the integration of support and housing for vulnerable people, including those with disabilities, mental health needs and/or experience of homelessness. The project has identified six core learning outcomes, following a research exercise into the services, settings and training available in the sector in EU countries. These outcomes have been incorporated into a universal training pack that has been localised, translated and piloted in seven European countries to match their specific context and processes. A consortium of partners, called local coalitions, has been created in these pilot countries, including some providers of housing and support services for vulnerable groups; providers of VET for frontline staff and managers in these services; service users; and research institutions. The project targeted frontline staff, managers and trainers within organisations providing housing and support services for vulnerable people, as well as relevant CVET institutions, in order to transfer the Core European Learning Outcomes to a wide range of audiences. Local coalitions and existing project partner networks have been used to target delegates for the pilots. The training could also be adapted to train a range of related actors such as local, regional and national level policymakers and funders. After the initial pilot of the localised and translated versions, feedback was incorporated into a revised and finalised version of the training. The training was also structured in 2 versions: a classroom edition whose content is to be delivered over the 2 days training and a modular edition that chops the content of the training into 6 modules that can be used individually or altogether depending on the specific training needs. The training content was thoroughly presented to a wide range of stakeholders during the final event that took place in Brussels on the 15 September 2015.
