PROJECT
FINISHED
"Europe on the Border" was initiated by OENEF from Florina Sfera from Bitola. The idea for the project came out from the need of cooperation and involvement of youth people between Bitola and Florina and especially involving youth from FYR Macedonia with Greece as European Union member to share the European values and fill the European spirit with other youths on their age.The main goal in the project is cross boarded cooperation and raising the European values. The importance of Pelagonija valley and its geographic location, Bitola and Florina are in the same valley only 40 km distance and 20 km far away from the boarder which makes them two boarder cities with huge cooperation in economical and agricultural fields and of course exportation and importation of goods. What we want is to make this cooperation in the youth field and the European Citizenship to FYR Macedonia as candidate country for entering the EU.Learning objectives of the training course are:• To clarify the challenges of European Voluntary Service among EU and Candidates countries regarding to content and methodology, non-formal and informal learning process, inter cultural learning and impact on local community• To raise awareness on key competences and develop different methods for using them in practice within EVS projects• To experience being in position of volunteers and raise awareness on personal, social and professional development during EVS activity• To make inter cultural exchange of art, culture, tradition and customs between the regions. • To raise awareness of healthy lifestyle trough outdoor activities• To make cooperation on educational level between universities in same studies of youth people.• To raise the EU values of the municipalities and its citizens. On this EVS Project we will include 5 volunteers. 3 Volunteers from Bitola doing the service in Florina, volunteers with more experience related with youth work and 2 from Florina doing the European Service in Bitola. Those from Florina will be with less experience but with great will to start and be active in this field. The Methodology that will be used, mainly is based on non-formal education, Case study on concrete projects (how to develop a youth exchange, how to implement an EVS activity), Presentation (Euro Desk, and youth Conference), Training on musical & video workshop and carrying out a mini-project, visits and discussion of educative and associative organization implementing EVS, communication exercise (between European partner, between EVS volunteer and host organisation), doing sport activity. Methods that will be used for promoting the project are: Organization website, Promotional material, Social Network websites and E-groups, Audio and Video promotion, Blogging.
