Europe in Action - Qualification for Young People, Manager and Trainers

During the 2-year project a total of 215 participants completed internships partly in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Southern England, Spain, France, Greece, Netherlands, London, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Scotland, Portugal, Austria and Turkey. The participants came from the whole of Germany.
The periods and content varied depending of target group and professions. Trainees in dual (87 participants) and school vocational education (30 participants) and professionals after vocational education (17 participants) or in further education (1 participant), were able to complete internships in companies from 2 weeks to 40 weeks. In general, the participants completed 4-week internships. Trainers, entrepreneurs with personal responsibility and vocational teachers (80 participants) were had the possibility of shadowing, internship and / or hospitations. The duration of stays vary from 4 to 14 days.
All participants were able to participate in group tours or alone. The organization incorporated the technical, organizational, linguistic and intercultural preparations, including administrative preparation, flight booking, airport transfer, if possible language courses, cultural program accommodations, assistance, recognition and evaluation. ECVET instruments and documents were used.
Participants were also able to organize the internships themselves and get the funding. The consultation was carried out individually on the applicant.
The participants were at least 18 years old and they operated in commercial as well as industrial-technology professions of craft, industries and in health and care sector. The project was focused on SME nationwide.
The need of the participant resulted from the general need of economy on good qualified and motivated professionals with abroad experiences, language skills and expertise. The technical demand vary of each profession and target group. As part of the project, the participants acquired skills in intercultural field, obtain an overview of respective economic and educational system and collect social competencies and related work experiences. The participants were able to increase their own employment opportunities in EU region
The project contributed to improve the technical, linguistic and social competencies of the participant, likewise to improve the transmitted work-attractiveness, enhancing the image of training occupations and school education.
