The project entitled "European Chance II" is a learning mobility project under the Erasmus+ programme for students from the intermediate level.
The mobilities that were carried out were:
8 students (6 boys and 2 girls) from the Telecommunication Systems Course for 21 days in April 2016 and 1 teacher of the Electronics Department for 7 days in the month of April for internship in the training centre (Poland) conducted the mobility in a homologous vocational training centre and in companies in Warsaw, Poland.
5 students (2 boys and 3 girls), students of the Management and Administration Course, who conducted a mobility training for 30 days during the month of April in companies and organizations in Todi, Italy, 1 professor who conducted a mobility Job-shadowing in July in companies and organizations of Todi and Perugia.
3 students (2 boys and 1 girl), who for 30 days during July-August carried out a mobility of graduates in various companies and agencies of Perugia. One of the mobilities was created with funds from OS.
1 teacher who held a teaching mobility in Germany.
We keep for years an excellent relationship with welcome agencies and businesses. With them we share initiative and enthusiasm for training and best practices establishing a collaborative relationship that has been maintained over the years. With the recent addition of new companies, agencies and similar centres in different parts of Italy, we hope to expand the success that ensures close and direct collaboration.
Once students and staff are informed and advised by broadcast systems (own colleagues participants, coordinator, departments, networks, panels, etc.) and submitted their application, it was proceeded to the selection of the participants. Through evaluation based on the criteria published in the blog and on the notice boards that transmit fairness and transparency the vacancies were granted and published by the commission.
From the 3 graduated vacancies distributed, 2 were allocated prior authorization of the National Agency and following the selection criteria established, to students who had already made a mobility training facing the possibility of employability. A third vacancy was created with a remaining flow of Poland and funds from OS.
By the same system, the commission formed by the director and the coordinator of each department, allocate the vacancies to applicants’ teachers for training as well as teaching, once they have submitted the application and a report with the programme of activities and goals to achieve.
The departments of Biology and Geography taught preparatory and culture talks of the host country.
Through Italian and English courses, under the Organisation of Mobility, prior to the phase of mobility under the Organization of mobility + OLS, the necessary linguistic skills were promoted to facilitate training in the sector and subsequent labour mobility, not only in the Canary Islands but also at a European level.
Teachers: made a commitment to their language preparation in English or Italian. The teacher who made teacher mobility has proven linguistic preparation.
Monitoring:
Students, via email through a weekly report endorsed by the host tutor.
Teacher report via email and phone.
For dissemination, meetings were carried out with invitation to families, business sector, educational community, authorities, local radio and press where participants presented their experiences.
The main objectives were:
* Increase the professional skills of our students, language skills and others such as self-confidence, promote multiculturalism, respect and flexibility, etc.
* Decrease the early desertion and foster the progression of ESO to intermediate vocational training. In this case, for those who are not going to graduate, motivate and prepare them for the access exam.
* Enable the European vision of the labour market, with new approaches of the existing offers.
* Acquisition of new specific methodologies of the professional sector.
* Acquisition of new teaching tools that motivate the students.
* Increase language skills.
* Enhance the skills and competencies of students through practical training.
* Meet its working methods as well as the latest developments in telecommunications and the use of new information and communications technology (ICT) applied to the administrative management and customer service in a language and a different business environment.
* Enhance innovation processes in teaching recycling of knowledge and good practice. Ultimately, improve educational quality.
