PROJECT
FINISHED
The project "Europe – be part of it" allows students to complete a work placement at various social institutions in England. During their stay they will be with host families.
The aim is to offer students the possibility to work abroad within a European framework. This also involves an expansion of their vocational working abilities and language skills, an improvement of their soft skills as well as the general understanding of intercultural relations. The project involves two groups consisting of 15-year-old students prior to their final year, whose training focuses on the business sector.
The students mainly work as teaching assistants in kindergartens and primary schools during their placement. They accompany and support the members of staff and they gain insight into their methods of working. In a record log they describe their working place and reconsider thoroughly their personal daily or weekly activities.
As a result of the internship, the participants gain work experience on the European scale. Moreover, this qualification should cause an increased personal headstart concerning their career. The long-term benefit of "EU-be" is a positive attitude towards Europe as far as profession and culture are concerned.
