Before the background of the increasing internationalisation of the professional life and the increasing mobility standards for the employed population, the BBS Bernkastel-Kues has decided to open even further to the European sphere and to integrate the European thought stronger into the everyday life at school. The primary aim of the applied project is to allow international working experiences to our trainees and to raise their professional as well as personal and social competence. However, besides these effects on our students, this project is seen (beside an in parallel applied mobility for teachers) as the first step on the way to a common project within the scope of the leading action 2. Already here the involved institutions and their staff must work together on an international, european level.Within the scope of this subsequent project should be developed a common curriculum in the areas of catering and geriatric care. In a secnd step this cooperation should be expanded to the field of economics and management. The ultimate objective is the implementaion of a common vocational training course with a dual german-czech leaving certificate in the three areas mentioned above (catering, geriatric care and economics), which allows the access to the German as well as to the Czech job market to the participant trainees .Within the scope of the project applied here, 4 trainees from the areas of Catering should be sent for a 2-week training period to the partner school in Podebrady.4 students from the area of Geriatric care and 4 students from the area of Economics should be sent afor a 2week-training period to the vocational school of Kutna Hora. This school has already reserved training places for our students in partner companies.
