PROJECT
FINISHED
In September 2015 the European Week of Sports will take place. In this context we plan to organize a forum for young sportsmen and –women from seven different European countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxemburg, Poland). The organizers will be regional institutions from the participating countries.
The goal of the project is to promote intercultural cooperation concerning the topic Sport and Europe.
Young dancers with a minimum age of 18 years and good language skills in either English, German or French will meet for a time period of five days in Germany. Four participants of each country will participate.
The focus of the project is to work together on politic topics concerning work perspectives for young people, further trainings for the career of young people in Europe, ability and commitment of young people for active participation on the society and multilinguism. The establishment of a list of claims from young European people. Concerning these topics there will be furthermore an open dialog with invited politicians. Additionally there will be sport and cultural activities in common which will reinforce the intercultural exchange in-between the participants. One of the highlights will be a dance show which will be planned and practiced by all the participants together and will be presented in the regional state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate in front of a broad audience.
Thanks to the lively exchange in-between the participants they can learn from each other and thanks to the cooperative elaboration of the above mentioned politic topics they get involved in the development of Sport and Europe. Furthermore they gain experience in developing and realizing projects (such as political and sport projects) in intercultural teamwork.
All together should allow the participants to live a sustainable intercultural experience for the future of those young participants.
The fact that our organizational team has many years of experience in organizing intercultural exchange programs (more detailed information in the application form) will contribute to a high quality project.
