Europäische Professionalisierung
Start date: Jun 26, 2014, End date: Jun 25, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Vocational College for Information and Medical Technology (OSZI MT) offers for the last seven years internships for full time based and dual vocational students within the European countries. It has also been successful with three COMENIUS projects and an runs an established school partnership (Spain). It has prepared European exchange in general and general studies preparatory training/educational courses on the increased learning and working space in Europe, So far, only a few of the teachers of the OSZ IMT are actively involved in European initiatives rather in the context of school and internship visits partly through individual trainings (i.e. in the context of EQF, DQR etc.) With this application we now associate more internal training planning of the OSZ IMT with the conceptual, organizational and international experience of the resulting OSZ IMT Europe teams. We would like to select teachers to expand their pedagogical-didactical but also linguistic and intercultural experiences in association with our trusted partners and develop learning opportunities to deploy learning stays in Europe. Likewise, we are aiming through a mutual exchange of teacher’s at a direct access to relevant training situations, in oder to undestand the national education structures and learning arrangements. We are therefore especially interested in a practical application and transfer of further training on the important issues for our school development target areas, i.e. "school failure/ early drop out", "internal differentiation of teaching" and „competence orietation of learning/teaching". The OSZ IMT has set up an all-school development plan to coordinate and support further training, which holds in coordination between departments and school administration, trainings gear across key themes and goals. Within this overall concept the learning stays abroad are prepared, monitored and evaluated; sought after is a sustainable transfer for improved teaching practice. The involvement of the quality manager and the school further training coordinator shall ensure that the recorded periods of learning in this application are carried out not only inclusive but also with the general standard of our school quality standards. As the school in Berlin perceives important multipliers functions (including through cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, by participating in the national team of ECEVT experts), we expect not only benefits for our own institution but will share these with relevant partners in Berlin. In addition to the professional and educational effects of stays abroad, the motivation and competence-promoting effect of European learning experiences for our faculty is just as important to us. We believe that even in our profession an effective preparation for an integrated Europe is only successful and possible if the teachers themselves have appropriate experience.
