"Help to construct Europe" - Participation at interregional European youth-meetings in Eifel and Ardennen The international youth-commission of the “Europäische Vereinigung für Eifel und Ardennen” (EVEA) organizes annually about 15 - 20 European youth-meetings in the region Eifel-Ardennen. At these meetings, the young participants get an insight into the society, the social situation and the working world of their neighbour-countries. The practical living and working together should do a contribution to the growing together of the European youth in this region. The project wants to improve the quality of the interregional European cooperation of the EVEA / GEAE in the youth-area and to structure through new and innovative methods and procedures, to reach a reinforced support of key-competences as well as a stronger inclusion of locally and regional public places in the qualitative development in the border-region of Germany and Luxembourg. This shall be reached by a qualitative improvement of the leader-education with reference to the strategic development and the organization-management, as well as through quality-oriented and goal-oriented activities for certain groups. At the same time, it is striven for a support of the equal opportunity of disadvantaged social groups and people of the predominant of rural embossed region of Eifel and Ardennen in Germany and Luxembourg. The young Teamers and Leaders get a training and support through seminars in connection with the possibility of the realization of the acquired knowledge as trainees and companions of European youth-meetings. At the project are involved beside the representatives of the organizations, young adults as Leader/Teamer, children and teenagers as participants, experts as well as representatives of youth-authorities. The partner-organizations should bring in their knowledge and experiences with the education of youth-leaders and should exchange views, supports from experts and representatives of public authorities. As result we expect a more qualified education with an increase of the activity-ability in the European context. At the same time, important abilities like intercultural competence, IKT-competence, language-competence and European awareness. As exemplary project, the project-results shall widen regionally and be developed further deepen.
