This project is involved in a context with more than 2000 students, with a vocational training with more than 600 students in initial education and 300 students for unemployed people, which is located in Aranjuez the southern part of Madrid in a current moment of crisis of unemployement among the youth.
Students in vocational training are divided in:
Basic vocational training, students who have not finished secondary studies and in order to reduce the drops out and with the aim of giving them the oportunity of getting the certificate of professional licenses level 1, they are given some orientations towards this formation, which it has as a short term aim, the continuation in vocational training (medium level), there are more than 280 students, in this school who are studying CFGM with a length of 2.000 hours with the objective of working incorporation or the continuation in studies.
All these students have in their curriculum a mandatory training period in different work centers (FCT) in between 4 and 12 weeks.
The aim of this project is based on the chance of doing this (FCT) in companies from the EU members, through host partner that with us are in charge of choosing the work centers, accommodations, advise and develop the chosen students from Spain and the follow up in the host country. This FCT, would be recognized and accepted by the government. Furthermore, teachers will be sent to learn and observe the FP Dual proposals.
The key of this project is that offers the oportunity to FPB students, who have economical problems, with a high risk of social exclusion, low self-esteem or low future expectations and the continuation in studies. They are, of course, one of the main worries not only in Europe, but also in Spain, as part of our institution, who has as a main objective the oportunity for these students of getting a job or keep studying.
The realization of FCT is extended to CFGM, as a continuing and motivating element in order to promote the labour movility among the EU members.
The applicants will be:
- 16 students from FPB
- 16 students from CFGM
- 6 teachers or any other workers in the school.
The main activities to be developed would be:
- The spreading and information of the initial project.
- Searching work centers and accommodations from the host partner as the profiles or especialities demmand.
- Orientation and selection of the applicants.
- Assignment of the work centers.
- Organization of the accommodations.
- Organization of the paperworks and different travelling documents.
- Reception from the host partner.
- Follow up, using the different documents of control and communication tools, including visits from the tutors and coordinators.
*FPB applicants will always be accompanied by their tutors.
- Assessment of the FCT and the movility.
- Spreading among the students to families, teachers and other students.
- Evaluation and suggestions for the next periods or projects.
The impact we are trying to achieve is to improve the expectations among our FP,FPB or CFGM students, promoting a contuniation in studies and a better incorporation into the labour world, improving their curriculum with Europass and improving, as well, their linguistic competence and movility.
Another important aspect is to supply the students with tools and situations which made him improve and grow up in his social and personal competence.
For the institution means a chance to be open to this European dimension, prestige for the possibility of giving the training students in FCT in european companies and a better preapired staff and oriented to possible experiences in FP DUAL.
The long-term impact in this area will be observed in a better employment among the youth either in companies or different branches in Europe.
