FINISHED
The project titled „Europe for you" is addressed at students of Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych in Bystrzyca Kłodzka and aims at increasing their competitiveness on the labour market by broadening their professional competences they are gaining while learning in our school. 37 participants will be chosen from among students of several specialties: sales specialist (11), IT technician (13), hair stylist (4), locksmith (1), cook (4), car mechanic (4) .The need for activities envisioned in the proposed project stems from the current realities of the labour market. Employers expect their employees to possess not only broad theoretical knowledge, but also a practical ability to perform functions linked with a given position. That is why the quality of the vocational component of education offered by our school is very important. The dynamic growth of specialized trades virtually guarantees demand for a well-prepared, highly qualified personnel. However, every year large numbers of fresh graduates of those courses enter the labour market, making it very competitive. Thus, in order to find a good job, young people need professional experience and additional advantages, such as foreign languages and the ability to function in an international environment. Having in mind such a situation, Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych in Bystrzyca Kłodzka proposes a project, that will provide our students with an opportunity to:
- gain important professional experience and increase competences,
- get familiar with the international labour market and working conditions in other European countries,
- improve the ability to communicate in foreign languages,
- become more self-reliant,
- meet people of different races, nationalities, religions and cultures.
Participation in the proposed project will therefore constitute a valuable element in the process our students undergo to prepare themselves for starting professional careers. Firstly, it will enable them to gain necessary experience. Secondly it will help them to embrace opportunities resulting from the process of European integration.
Mobilities envisioned in the project will take place between November and December of 2014.
The participants will be divided into 3 groups:
a) 15 participants (consisting of the following professions: hair stylists (4), locksmith (1), cook (4), car mechanic (4) and IT technician (2)), who will undertake their 4 week long vocational training in companies and organisations in Italy (Bolonia)
