“The ZAWM St. is determined to prepare their trainees for the transnational labour market through the organisation of mobilities. As an organisation providing vocational education and training in a border region, it is important for us to train young people to be qualified and prepared for the labour market, beyond linguistic and national borders, so that they might put their knowledge to good use. With long years of experience regarding mobility projects, we have discovered that through traineeships in partner organisations (VET schools, enterprises), our trainees become more open-minded, generally and also with regarding new techniques. During their traineeship in a partner organisation, they learn new methods and techniques, and they become acquainted with new work patterns. Furthermore, young people become more open-minded for cultural and linguistic differences, and they are able to communicate better with others due to their own personal experience. They may even speak against stereotypes and prejudice. Especially for traineeships in regions where German is not the native language, the participants lose their fear to express themselves in another language.
