ISIS A. Malignani in Udine, Italy, is the applicant and sending organisation of the present proposal entitled "EUROLAB6: Mobilità transnazionale per la formazione professionale in ambito lavorativo", acronym "EUROLAB6", which represents the development, through the enlargement of the partnership to another professional education and training hosting institution, the VTI WAREGEM in Waregem, Belgium, of the Leonardo da Vinci Mobility Projects EUROLAB I/05/A/PL-154521-FPI, EUROLAB2 I/06/A/PL-154491-FPI, EUROLAB3 LLP-LdV-IVT-08-IT-197, EUROLAB4 LLP-LdV-IVT-10-IT-033 and EUROLAB5 2012-1-IT1-LEO01-02663, promoted and coordinated by Malignani institute in partnership with the Haram vidaregåande skule in Brattvåg, Norway, and the Staatliche Berufsschule Erding in Erding, Germany.
Like the previous projects, EUROLAB6, scheduled for June 2015-May 2017, aims at increasing the attractiveness of vocational education and training and improving the quality of national vocational education and training systems through the adoption of solutions granting the up-to-date training of the students with respect to the skills and competencies required by the global market and a competitive economy.
The enlargement of the partnership to the Belgian partner concerns specifically vocational education and training in the sectors of electronics, electrotechnics, interior furnishings and supplies.
The two-week placements, preceded by a language, cultural and occupational preparation, will be for the 52 participants, young people in initial vocational training who will be attending the 4th and 5th years of their course of studies in the applicant and sending organisation in the school years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, a significant opportunity to complete their vocational education and training with work experiences abroad, develop adaptability and flexibility, improve their linguistic and communicative competence so as to enter the international labour market more easily.
The proposal satisfies also the requirements of Confindustria Udine and Associazione Piccole e Medie Industrie del Friuli Venezia Giulia - Confapi FVG, associations which represent enterprises and which have signed Expressions of Interest in the project: they represent the viewpoint of the local industry and are interested in the opportunity of giving consistency to both theoretical and practical training. The placements will take place in Germany, Norway and Belgium in spring 2016 and spring 2017, will be constantly monitored by a tutor and a mentor and certified with the "Europass-Mobility" instrument. In progress and final evaluation and the dissemination of the results through meetings, reports and publications on the Web and the media are foreseen.
