EuroguideVAL or «Implementing the Common European Principles through improved Guidance and Counselling based on a common framework for guidance professionals” Accreditation of prior learning (APL) becomes a major challenge within the EU as shows the number of projects linked to this one and the existing active virtual community of CEDEFOP which is also linked to the promoters. In this context the project envisages to design a curricula + modules for an “open” training course especially target to professionals in this accreditation process based on research of professional needs. In addition a handbook for implementing the modules and guidelines integrated into this handbook are envisaged, all this done in English and French in paper and on-line. An APL network will be created for training providers in this field; An idea expressed frequently is the “open approach” within this project, meaning that the products will undergo permanent evolution taking into account the evolutionary dynamics of national and sectoral practices. The CEDEFOP virtual communities will play an important role in valorisation/dissemination of results and as a permanent forum. The partners (coming from five countries) will ensure it also via their networks and other projects in which they participate ( fe. “Expertise Train”).
