Euro-start Zawodowy is a project addressed to 38 students attending Technikum nr 2 in Zespół Szkół Ekonomicznych im. Jana Pawła II w Złotowie (2016-2018 ) from third grade of technical college specialising in the profession of economic technician, trade technician, IT technician and advertising technician who stem from small villages and remote areas threatened social exclusion. The project is dedicated to the development and improvement of students practical skills in relation to overseas interships and work experience. The motivation for the project started as the answer for students needs as well as increasing local enterprises and institutions demands. The project is aimed at creation of a European space for the professional training students, sharing good practices, up-skilling qualifications and training, and guaranteeing social protection and inclusion. The project encompasses 24-month duration (05/09/2016- 04/09/2018) and it is based on mobilities of students in order to serve their 4-week internships in Granada/ Spain and Dublin/ Ireland. The students participating in the mobilities will be divided into 2 groups (20 trainees in May 2017, 18 trainees in May 2018)) accompanied by teachers. Due to the unique apprenticeship students will gain more practical work experience, get to know real Spanish and Irish work environment and develop professional skills needed in the labour market. What is more, the participants will broaden their knowledge of European countries, especially discovering natural, historical and cultural heritage of Spain and Ireland. Overseas interships will let the trainees equalize their educational opportunities and ensure them better start in the future professional successful life because they are at risk of financial and social exclusion caused by their living conditions (deprived rural areas, high rate of unemployement, difficult family situation). The project will make it possible to increase effectiveness and competitiveness of the participants in the local and European labour market as future employees. All trainees will get to know how to adapt their school theoretical knowledge for practical use and will have the opportunity to work independently as well as participate in a team work. This will improve their social skills and affect personal development, especially their self-esteem and self-assessment. Skills and competences acquired within the internships will be confirmed by an appropriate certificate - Europass Mobility. All aprticipants will be prepared to create Europass CV and Europass Language Passport. Additionally, the important value of the project is that students will have the opportunity to acquire Spanish and English languages in relation to their specific tasks at work. We also want to provide all beneficiaries a better knowledge of Spanish and Irish customs and traditions and encourage them to become active European citizens.
