The beneficiaries of the Erasamus program, will be 15 students, who are enrolled on the 6th year of the Technical Educational Program at the Athénée Royal D´Esneux, which is supervised by training professionals. These 15 students will undergo a four week course, in Spain. The competences and skills acquired, by a student, during his training in the French Community can be carried out abroad. These will be recognized and validated.The projects objectives in terms of quality development are to offer internships, to Belgian high school students, to study outside a French-speaking country, in order to bring added value to learning by promoting the strengthening of English and the advancement of a new foreign language, Spanish. Whilst in Spain, there will be an opportunity for the students to study Spanish for few hours in the afternoons.Chaperones, teachers from the sending partner, will be present and it will be their job to make the connections between the students and the host partner. They will ensure that the completion of the course matches the requirements of the Belgian curriculum. These requirements concern the fulfilment of the following : the course evaluation ; the learning outcomes (based on stipulated competencies) ; and the integration of the outcome for each recipient.This course also promotes amongst the students : self evaluation ; the development of the social capital of students ; independence and openness to another culture.The short and long-term impacts will be : giving meaning to learning ; acquiring skills that will contribute to the graduation of students further education and practice of a language ; improving employability through greater competitiveness ; and raising awareness of European citizenship.For the development plan of participating schools, the impact will be on : the evolution of the school plan ; enhancement of technical and vocational education ; promotion of training in the eyes of local businesses ; and the continuing professional development of teachers. There are of course other commitments arising from a course of this type, chiefly : the image of a school in constant evolution, which already has an international focus but does not rest on these achievements and dares to overcome language barriers. Certification of the Europass Mobility, issued to the recipients, will be held at an official ceremony, in late June, in the presence of local authorities, parents and final year students.
