Start date: Jan 1, 2010,
This project is aiming - through promotion of Euro-African EVS activities - to share experiences and visions in order to allow young volunteers to work for social transformation in their own communities. It offers 8 young people from Europe and Africa an opportunity of non formal education that includes Euro-African volunteering experiences, 9 months of mutual learning, living in a community in another continent (Portugal, France, Italy, Spain, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Botswana and Senegal). The EVS projects in the different countries/communities are linked by the aim to develop glo-cal awareness and active participation/citizenship through interventions in the fields of intercultural learning, democracy, environment, social inclusion. The preparation together, the distance contact during the stay abroad and the evaluation/follow up meeting at the end, all together will ensure a group sharing of experiences and visions of the volunteers, in which the individual ones will be linked with each other and will prepare the ground for follow up activities for social transformation jn the communities of origin of the volunteers. This project is a follow up of the cooperation within the Globa-l-inks network, that includes 31 youth organizations of Europe, Africa and Latin America, that are promoting youth active participation in order to create and reinforce links between the work and the visions in different local communities
