The EUDISTAT project will develop the prototype of a European Distance Training Package with regard to qualitative statistical techniques used in the monitoring and control of business processes.The project addresses the results of recent analyses showing the lack of knowledge and understanding (at European level) as regards the potential benefits of the use of qualitative statistical data in business monitoring and control practices.A training package will be developed comprising a specialist 'guidance' module (able to direct users towards the most appropriate training unit/s) and a further series of experimental modules each divided into individual didactic units. Actual training will be addressed at three levels; basic, intermediate and advanced, aimed at a variety of potential users, to include, students, teachers/tutors, auditors, operatives, engineers and managers.Actual training modules will then be piloted across relevant user groups with findings influencing the final training package.The final products will be output in both CD-Rom and internet-based format, in IT, FR & ES and will be promoted through a dedicated project website and a series of national and international workshops.
