EU-Trainers for New Media, Digital Creativity & Employability

Youth trainers (workers) will acquire skills and knowledge how to engage youths in new media, digital creativity and to encourage active EU citizenship. Another focus will lie on community and social media. The project will include participants with migrant backgrounds and focalize on the Rio+20 commitments especially how the EU will continue to pursue the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially how to downsize the gap between the citizens and their EU institutions. The implementation of action-oriented methods by this training course will enhance the employability of the disadantaged youths intensively by educating new media and communication skills, teamwork, analytical / critical skills, language skills, creative thinking, flexibility and leadership. Buttom-up on the active European citizenship they will face up to developmental aspects of globalisation. They will act as media reporters to inspire our democratic culture, in which the citizens participate in the democratic process, establishing a dialogue in order to really have their opinion voiced there. It will generate an intensification of civil society engagement, intercultural communication and digital creativity of the the youths concerning global aspects of important issues. The youth will make live broadcasts and debates on internet TV and disseminate their digital reports on social and community media platforms. 25 multipliers will be enabled to train youths and to initiate public discussions and reports about civil society engagement, representative democracy and SDGs of the EU. The new trainers will later on train youths how to work creatively with digital media to promote democratic participation, employability of youths and the SDGs. Youth will stake their new skills in audio-visual productions to expand horizons and to build up respect for other cultures and nations in the frmework of the EU strategy 2020.
