The main objective of EU GARDENS is to promote social labour integration of youth with functional difficulties that stop them from having an adequate process of integration as well as social participation and personal enrichment of voluntaries, using gardening as means of social labour insertion. The voluntaries will cooperate as instructors contributing with the vital experience as well as with their capacities and competences for the social labour insertion of youth and will be guided by a technical team (occupational therapist, social-cultural technicians, gardening technicians...).The voluntaries carry out their tasks in an altruistic way, contributing with their knowledge learned during their professional and personal lives, their values and abilities, that will transmit these to the youth for them to achieve their social labour insertion and personal autonomy. On the other hand, group work implies bidirectional relations, in such a way that the voluntaries will also benefit from their interaction with youth, mainly phycho-social abilities that will improve their perception of health and consequently their quality of life. All the previous is what they presently carry out in the project Habiledades (Zaragoza) and in Avesta. What the EU GARDENS is going to contribute to in the mobility activities of the participants in this project where two study visits (one per group and country), is the opportunity to contrast learning methods on gardening and horiculture in space opend to participation, opened to the construction of new ideas with respect to the field on which they work and promoting creativity within the group. The first activity will be carried out during 5 days in a study visit format from the 29 June to the 3rd July 2015 and the participants of the Zaragoza group will be who will visit Avesta. The second acivity, also during 5 days and in the same format will be carried out from the 19th to the 23rd October 2015 and the participants from Avesta will be visiting the project in Zaragoza. The mobility project of the participants in this project as youth workers intends to increase their knowledge in the gardening field, with the purpose of also increasing their capacities when training youth with new methodologies and techniques used in other countries. Besides this, it is also expected that voluntaries improve their competences and abilities to train youth through exchange and knowledge of the working processes carried out in other cities in similar projects. The methods used and related to non formal education will take into account the following characteristics: They will develop their own principles, they will adapt to participants and contents will be redefined on a continous process in open spaces and in an agile and flexible way.Impact on the participants as well as on the youth with disabilities is expected improving capacities when teaching their knowledge for the first, and learning gardening techniques as means of insertion and autonomy for the second.Dissemination will follow and established plan taking into account the different phases of the project and will be addressed to influence other organisations of the sector at local, regional, national and european level, trying to engage decission makers and other stakeholers in the process. The objective, then, is the mobility of these persons to provide them with tools and inspiring arguments adaptive and creative to facilitate impowerment of youth and promote their autonomy and employability among the youth with more difficulties within a professional family framed in green economy and sustainable growth, one of the values promoted in the 2020 Strategy.
