In the European context of constant mobility and contact between diverse cultures, promoting a healthy and positive attitude towards multiculturalism has always been essential, but now, in the tension inherent to the humanitarian tragedy of Syria and consequent forced migration, it is critical. In Agueda, host city, unaccustomed to contact with other cultures, it is essential to promote intercultural dialogue oriented experiences that begin the process of inclusion being a reality and openness to others a given. There is no denying the important role that young people have in changing the social paradigm. It is essential to promote the empowerment of these young volunteers so that they can assume their role as social agents, actors of change, either in Agueda, or in their communities. Therefore, with this project, we assume two complementary core missions: combat in a structured way the latent xenophobia in our region by promoting the development of an attitude of openness towards others, and promote the training of young Europeans so that they can take action and contribute to the solution of social problems of Europe and their communities in particular.OBJECTIVES:a) To promote intercultural dialogue and tolerance in ruralized communities;b) To sensitize young people to the values, rights and duties of European citizenship;c) Promote the acquisition by volunteers of essential practical knowledge for an active European citizenship;d) To promote non-formal education as a methodology for the development of essential skills;e) To develop the quality management of the organizations involved in relation to EVS;NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 4 young volunteers (20-30) of European countries with an interest in boosting intercultural dialogue sessions with young people of our community and interested in developing entrepreneurship skills.ACTIVITIES:1.
