Institutionalized cooperation was established between the Central Békés Centre (CBC) region, consisting of the towns of Békéscsaba, Gyula and Békés, and the town of Arad by establishing the CBC-Arad Development Agency. In this framework, a common development strategy was started to be developed together with forming the basis of future euroregional cooperation. The Hungarian party provides considerable assistance to the Arad partner by transferring its experiences of the absorption of EU Structural and Cohesion Funds in Hungary and of investment motivation in Romania. As a result of the project, communications of the CBC-Arad cooperation are operated, new projects are generated, and partnerships are organized.
