Start date: Mar 1, 2016, End date: Oct 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Fédération d’Animation Rurale en Pays de Vilaine (Fédé) and the Office Intercommunal des Sports du Pays de Redon (OFIS) have a common objective: Allowing young people to take part to motivating and innovative projects. The aim is to use sport as a vector of socialization and inclusion. From this common objective emerged a willing to implement a project aiming to allow young people under 18 from all conditions to gather around the thematic of sport. The experience of both structures at the European level (many exchanges of young people for Fédé and the collaborative project named INSPORT for OFIS) led them to open the project at the European scale. The ESPORANTO project was born. The exchange of young European people under 18 would be implemented in the framework of the Erasmus + program. The goal for these young people will be to invent a European game / sport accessible to everyone. The idea is to create the first European game / sport, thanks to traditional games of sports of participating countries. Will be concerned by the project young non disabled, mental disabled and socially excluded European people, aged between 18 and 30. Three countries will take part to the program: France (OFIS and Fédé), Spain (FAISEM), and Italy (Polisportiva Aurora). Each structure will gather 8 young people (3 non disabled persons, 3 mental disabled persons and 2 socially excluded persons). The project started by a day around Breton and Celtic culture with the discovery of Breton traditional games and sports, in Redon: Gouren and Gaelic football (12th of September, 2015). The exchange will be held between the 18th and the 24th of May, in 2016, in Redon. The project will end in September of 2016 with an event aiming to present the new european sport colletive game invented during the youth exchange and new sports (paddle, blackminton, etc.).
