Fahrten-Ferne-Abenteuer is a nationwide recognized aktor in youth welfare service in Germany (according to Kinder- und Jugendhilfegesetz § 75). We are realizing a plenty of activities of non-formal education using the metodology of Adventure based learning (international youth exchanges, trainings for youth leaders and adventure based learning offers for local community, in particular kids and youth groups, families, school classes and non-formal groups of young people). We offer adventure based learning activities, e. g. teambuilding activities, climbing in our high ropes course, float building, professional orientation (job orientation) for school classes. Trainings for various multipliers, first of all leaders of youth groups as well as projects concerning intergation and inclusion of handicaped young people. Since last year projects on the topic of climate protection. Our EVS volunteers are included in preparation, implementation as well as evaluation of those activities. Additionaly they can help us within our international network of youth organisations "CityBound Europe", implementing adventure based learning international youth exchanges. EVS and in particular the hosting of EVS volunteers enables us to include an added european value to our work and into our projects - to live Europe! The EVS volunteers bring a big intercultural enrichment for our team and our activities. For this reason, besides the EVS volunteers themselves, benefit our team members, our young participnats as well as the local community (particular kids and youth groups and families joining our activities locally). Additionally we organize information meetings about EVS and mobility offers for young people in Europe for interested young people and potencial future volunteers. During these meetings, our international EVS volunteers act as ambassadors of Europe and the EVS by telling them about the practice of EVS.
