The 2nd Vocational School of Trikala is a school of technical and vocational education that exists for 26 years in the prefecture of Trikala. 280 students are currently enrolled and 42 teachers of general education subjects and technical specifications are employed.
Students come from all parts of Trikala and most travel long distances to reach the school. A significant proportion of students comes from vulnerable backgrounds, 15% of our students are foreigners.
Participants in the mobility project will be third class students of Tourism Management sector and the sector of Administration and Economy as well; they attend the specialization of office clerks and tourism businesses.
The specialization prepares students for the organization, management and provision of services to all kinds of businesses in the tourism industry. At the same time they learn new methods, the use of PCs, regarding reservations, airline tickets, travel agencies and all accounting applications applied by modern enterprises.
This project aims to lead to full training in providing tourist services. The project is implemented with the job placement of students in hotels.
After the project the trainees will be able to work with high efficiency occupying jobs requiring high skills and experience.
The training activity supports new methods of learning, deals with international experiences and good practices, the project gives incentives with contemporary content, helps innovation, skills, knowledge and experience. It brings together different cultures and mentalities, tactics and strategies, strengthen the European dimension of the organization, builds up professional ties and European cooperation networks in the field of Tourism and Accounting Services.
After completing the project, trainees will disseminate their experience in a new way of development of agricultural production, which is characterized by high quality, expansion of knowledge and creation of stable linkages with foreign markets.
