Equality is given! Training on Gender Education

The training course Equality is Given! - training on Gender Education is an activity to be hosted in Albania from the association NSGK. The AIM of this activity is to train youth workers, leaders, youth activist on how they can improve the gender equality of their activities and act as agents of inclusion, to assure the participation of young women and men with fewer possibilities. The training shall provide a space to share information, perspectives and resources to emphasize the role of youth and educational activities which address issues related to gender and their impact in youth work. The seven days Training will be implemented by using the non-formal education approach, the experiential learning and the learning by doing methodology, through the use or several methods such as: group work, discussion, role plays, simulations, debates, trust building games, presentations, etc. OBJECTIVES • To increase the participants’ knowledge, skills and attitudes towards key concepts of gender and gender mainstreaming, • To increase awareness of gender as a social construction in broaden European dimension.• To give to participants practical tools and resources for enhancing gender equality in youth work;• To raise awareness about the complexity of gender equality in youth activities;• To foster intercultural learning and mutual understanding among participants;• To explore and promote YiA Programme as strong tool for promoting gender equality in youth workThe methodology of the training will be non formal learning, learning by doing approach and the Cycle of Kold will be used as a model of learning for the participants. The program contains different methods such as: discussions, workshops, debates, role plays, simulation games, reflection, debriefing, small % big group work, buzz groups etc. The training will be implemented from professional trainers whom have already years of experience in YiA, non formal education & more over are experts of gender issues.
