Entreprendre la Mobilité Professionnelle : Levier pour l'Ouverture à l'Insertion
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

At the end of the EMPLOI project, we have come to some conclusions concerning its success of the participants, the companies and the offices involved. Thanks to our researches we are able to analyze and measure the datas on individuals, but also on a local, regional, and international scale. We will see the impact and the results and this project and its impact in a long term vision by continuing our observation after June 2016. Our aim was to build an European partnership that had started in 2006 and was realized in 2012 by a “ Leonardo Da Vinci “ Project. Ponsacco in Italy was the city of choice, being the twin city of Brignais, where our vocational school is located. Moreover it seemed as a great opportunity for our students to take part in and to realize our project goals. By pursuing relations with Ponsacco Town Hall and local Joineries, we met the needs of training through quality internship with world with globally- recognized companies. The timber and Design sectors are very present in Tuscany which provide a reservoir for future hiring. As far as the Business Administration is concerned we know that many companies of the Rhône-Alpes Région look for professionals with Italian speaking skills. With Erasmus plus, our vocational school has made the choice to integrate a European educational strategy to the school project. To ensure the success of our students, to address truancy issues, we act by taking into account the heterogeneity of our pupils often from an unprivileged social background. We prepare our students for European mobility through the teaching of foreign languages, proposing an internship abroad, which gives them international experience on their CV, an advantage for their future carreer. Beyond the students, our approach aimed at enriching and adapting teachings to new economic and social realities of Europe. This cooperation allows us to reconsider education and training, to better facilitate communication and to update our professional and technical skills. By collaborating, we should be more successful and more innovative. The image of the school, of vocational schools in general will be gain a higher education. Over two years, twenty-five students in their final year of study benefited from the ERASMUS PLUS program in two flows. In March/April 2015, 12 students (7 joiners, 5 Business Administration students) worked in Joiner’s companies or at the City Hall. In March /April 2016: 13 pupils (6 joiners and 7 in Business studies). The duration corresponds to the training objectives bound to the reference tables of the National Department of Education. Enriched by a former Leonardo experiment, we have as early as June 2014 started to list and structured all the activities to be implemented in 2015-2016. We noticed 7 periods (2 flows): before, during and after the internship, and a post-mobility period on long term. We distributed the tasks, planned meetings, and coordinated the linguistic, professional and European preparation. We created assessment rubrics to have time but also qualitative marks, as well as a rubric of selection of the candidates. The implementation of the activities was made through a dialogue between the different partners: regular exchanges and transparency are keys to harmonize communication. Once the internships were finished, we had analyzed the consequences on the people and the structures. Benefits for the students, the teaching teams, the partners, the vocational school, with the professionals, confirm the success of our project. Motivation, implication, the will to innovate, the capacity to question oneself and teamwork are quantifiable assets for all of the participants. With this project, our vocational school asserted its will to contribute to the European, national and local objectives and the positive impact which results from it has to be widely announced. Although the phase “post-project on the long term” is not finished, we aspire with objectivity to the success of this challenge. We announce the Erasmus plus project with pride and present our results to other schools, institutions, companies, families and pupils. Press articles, information meetings, have so many means to perpetuate our project. These are symbols of excellence to ensure a succession of motivated candidates and to cooperate beyond the borders of our school.
