Young people, though being most dynamic and open-minded part of any society, at the same time have proven to be the most indifferent segment of society towards community development, civic participation and policy dialogue. They do not take responsibility for their own future, and follow the stream which they mostly criticize without finding efficient ways of giving constructive feedback. Their low participation results in under-representation of youth issues on political agendas and development processes, thus most of the time leaving young people in the position of “beneficiary” in the society, dependent on limited resources and support the decision makers would plan for them.Situation is especially visible in rural communities, where on one hand young people are not treated as “serious stakeholder”, and on the other hand then have no relevant skills, knowledge and confidence to act as such.Through hosting " Training course “EnpAct “engage-participate-act” training course, Padul in Action Youth Association aims at promoting active youth participation in rural area, with a focus on participatory community development. It will unite 27 youth workers from 4 Programme countries and 4 Eastern Partner countries to investigate and develop tools for increasing youth participation in rural communities.
