"Enhancing the language competences: CLIL" is a two-week programme which is aimed at low secondary and secondary teachers, teacher trainers and inspectors who have to, currently or in the future, deliver content lessons in English. The main aims of the course are the intrests in the alternative methods of teaching languages as well as in conveying the intercultural knowledge. It is also to clarify and "demystify" the concept of Content and Language Integrated Learning so called CLIL and to focus on specific areas of language development for classroom management and instruction. During the project, teachers will get known with the idea of bilingual teaching and learning which long term result will be the improvement of the quality of teaching in our school . This course is designed for for teachers who would like to teach subjects in English (CLIL) through an Inquiry-based methodology, using ICT technologies, and combination of workshops, project work, excursions and social activities. It is based on practical ideas for classroom management, lesson planning and materials development by using the Irish, English or any other environment, folklore, sports, symbols, art, society, etc. Regular language focus on vocabulary, pronunciation and use of English to improve skills in English. Teaching techniques will be demonstrated to a variety of subjects across the curriculum. The organisers of the course will also show us how published and authentic materials can be adapted for CLIL lessons.During the first week of the course, participants are exposed to a range of teaching practices and methodologies. This can include the following: demonstrations of lessons using CLIL methodology; adapting and exploiting texts in the context of CLIL; evaluation of published materials and resources and specifically tailored sessions on language improvement. The course includes daily practical sessions on preparing CLIL micro lessons. The second week of the training will be concentrated on delivering these micro lessons to your trainer and peers in order to put learned methodology and new ideas to practical use straight away.All participants are encouraged to maintain contact with their colleagues from the course and to establish contacts with teachers from other countries and regions to share experiences and difficulties encountered. Also, participants should work on adapting and creating materials for the use in the provision of CLIL lessons.The participants of the courses are the teachers of 6th High School in Bialystok who are working on organising and implementing european projects. Most of them are taking care of the work on every stage of the project starting from applying, putting it into practice and the final reporting. Not only the English or German teachers are going to take place, but aslo chemistry, physics and history teachers.The foreseen results of the project will be the changes of the whole process of teaching such as:-using new methods of work- the change within the context of choosing, presenting and implementing the teaching material, -the change of methods and organization of the teachers' and students' work, -developing individual methods of work,-personalization of the profile of teaching (making it more flexible according to the special needs of students),-the change within the evaluating students' achievements,-the change comprising the individual support of the learners,The long term results of the project:-development of the creative learning of the complex practical activities,-analysing and evaluating conducted lessons,-shaping the competences and attitudes of the future teachers/workers,-possessing the abilities of planning, conducting and documenting lessons,-possessing the abilities of analysing own work and its effects as well as students' work
