Enhancement of the supply of cross-border rural tourism through the creation of an information network (AGRISLOVE.NET)
Start date: Oct 31, 2003, End date: Jun 29, 2005 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project considers the development and promotion of rural tourism activities, based on the peculiarities of the Venetian land and its lifestyles: from the structure of the places to stay, to furniture, food and wine, and the environmental context. The project aims at developing and diversifying rural tourism supply in the cross-border area, by widening and improving the range of the services provided whilst setting up a single information network. In the framework of this initiative, the integrated portal “AGRISLOVE.NET” is set up, in order to increase the visibility of Venetian and Slovenian farmhouse accommodations, connecting them with the culture, history and traditions of the territory. After a thorough exam of the characteristics and peculiarities of the whole territory, the customer can, according to his/her own requests, visualize the individual farmhouses on the portal. The construction of the portal will follow study and research activities carried out in the farmhouses at issue, in order to depict the current situation through the detection of indicators and monitoring methods; all of which will be coupled with promotional and dissemination activities, as well as training courses for tourist operators, for them to autonomously update the information concerning themselves. The purpose of the project is therefore attracting new tourists and enhancing the tourist and cultural resources, consolidating the economic, social and cultural cohesion between partners, making it easier for national and international tourists to use farmhouses.
