Enhance mobility for trainees at risk of social exclusion
During the contact seminar (Bordeaux, November 2008) 5 educational organisations from 5 European countries, i.e. Finland, Sweden, Germany, Poland and Greece, discovered they share a common goal. The goal is to open international mobilities to a new target group within their organisations. That target group is trainees at risk of social exclusion. To reach this goal a multilingual guidance brochure was produced during the two year period of the project. The aim is to raise higher awareness among teachers of the different obstacles trainees at risk of social exclusion face during their internships. This raised awareness is useful when preparing trainees for an international labour market and in rebuilding their self esteem. The guidance brochure will also be used by teachers and trainees to help motivate and support trainees to get the courage to do their internship abroad.Trainees and teachers from the 5 participating educational organisations were involved during the research period, the workshops, documentation and the dissemination process. It was vital to include trainees from the target group to get a better understanding of the different obstacles they face during their educational process.
