The project aims at developing innovative e-learning materials for English teaching and learning in the field of IT. The target groups are IT specialists, IT students and English language tutors. An “English for Specific Purposes” learning module will be designed as a 1-year diary-like learning, comprising English lessons at the post-elementary level with a strong emphasis on learner-centred autonomous training. An “English in IT Certificate” will be granted to those website users who will have successfully passed the optional examination to be taken after the end of the course at EIT testing centres established by the project partners. The envisaged products will especially help IT specialists who are false beginners or have passive knowledge of IT-related vocabulary to activate their English communication skills for professional and social life.
