The transition to buildings of very low energy consumption would prove significantly harder without measures for improving workforce qualification in the construction industry. In recent years we witnessed increased trend of professional construction education that prepares personnel of insufficient practical fitness, hence companies have to offer the newly employed workers and employees re-qualification. In order to satisfy the needs of labour market, the professional high school strives for providing its students with professional education that satisfies business’requirements.The suggested project “Energy-efficient construction” aims at: 1.Increasing the capacity, attractiveness and international dimension of the professional high school. 2.Supporting 40 students of the “Construction technician” profession so that they could acquire competencies in the area of energy-efficient construction, to improve their foreign language competencies, to get to know other cultures and countries.3.Improving the qualification of 6 teachers for professional preparation in the “Construction” industry to acquire new competencies in the area of energy-efficient construction when it comes to building new ones and refurbishing old buildings to decrease their heat exchange. 4.Improving the quality of professional education and effectiveness of the practical training held by the professional high school with the introduction of good practices and innovative experience.Professional High School of Construction, Architecture and Geodesy “Professor architect Stefan Stefanov” intends holding European mobility in the city of Cottbus, Germany with the two target groups:-trainees-40 students that have passed initial professional training for the“Construction technician”profession in order to practice in real operational environment. Mobility would take place in two consecutive years–2017and2018with one group of20 students each with different alumni that have successfully graduated the 10th grade in the previous school years;-personnel–6 teachers for professional preparation with professional qualification in the construction industry for training and supporting their professional development.The performance of both mobilities would take place jointly with the Professional assistance association and sustainable construction competent centre – Cottbus and would take place in the material-technical base of the company, including training centre for the various types of construction operations.The project would be implemented with the performance of the following activities: 1.Organization, awareness and publicity2.Selection of participants;3.Preliminary preparation of the participants;5.Organization and implementation of mobilities;6.Certification and acknowledgement of results;7.Report of the achieved results;8.Results’ multiplication.When it comes to implementing the project we would use methods such as initiating, planning, executing, controlling, analyzing and reporting.Deliverables:1.Improved competencies /knowledge, skills and attitudes/ of 40 students of the “Construction technician” profession and their suitability for future employment;2.Improved professional competencies in order to apply new energy-efficient technologies and systems in the construction area of 6 teachers for professional preparation with professional qualification “civil engineer”;3.Assimilated new methods, approaches and experience in teaching and studying for the development of students’ professional and personal qualities; 4.Improved key competencies in German language of 40 students, 6 teachers for professional preparation and 4 accompanying persons among the school personnel;5.Increased mobility and adaptability to the labour market of the participants in the European Union and outside it;6.Updated 6 curricula for professional education of the “Construction technician” profession;7.Improved quality of the provided professional education and improved effectiveness of the held educational and production practices with the implementation of innovative experience;8.Improved attractiveness and competitiveness of the professional high school.Expected impact that results from the project implementation on the target groups and the organization-beneficiary and the project partner:1.Increased mobility and adaptability to the labour market of the participants in the European Union and outside it;2.Improved motivation of the users for continuous professional improvement and competitiveness;4.Improved quality of the rendered professional education and training in conformity with business requirements.5.Good practices’ exchange with other European institutions within the professional education and training system.The project would generate long-term benefits for upgrading the professional education of “Construction technician” profession and onto the business in its capacity of qualified personnel consumer.
