The ENERGIES FOR EUROPE project will develop and introduce an outline skills profile and flexible training package to allow the expansion of manager and employee competencies in the implementation of local energy policies.The project acts in particular response to demand brought about by administrative decentralisation across EU countries in favour of local authorities and the downfall of monopolies for the creation of home energy markets.Outputs are aimed at existing employees and decision-makers involved in the decentralisation of environmental energy supply in addition to those currently undergoing study with the aim of entering this specialist sector.Beyond the development of actual training modules, further activity will comprise; the introduction of a thematic catalogue regarding existing energy policies; the development of support tools and materials (both for traditional training and open and distance learning) and the introduction of guidelines to support those responsible for the training implementation and to assist end-users.All of the above are to be output on CD-Rom and via the dedicated project website in IT, ES, PT & EN.
