The "Youth meeting to promote cultural exchange, human rights and social justice" project is a bilateral exchange between young people from Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Spain) and youth in Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina). The first meeting that is described in this project will take place in Santa Coloma de Gramenet from 5th to 12th September, with 20 participants aged 16 to 19 who cover topics such as aspects of the two cultures, human rights and communication for social change. The exchange will take place within the framework of the activities of Cooperation and Solidarity Department of Santa Coloma de Gramenet taking advantage of various events such as the "Human Rights Defenders Cities" to be held between September and October 2015. The meeting will take place in the "Space for Peace" Cultural Center Mas Fonollar, a typical catalan house converted with an excellent municipal facility. The methodology will be participative and experiencing and gender perspective will be permanently considered. The participants themselves are creating the activities throughout a 3 months formation process before the exchange, so that the level of involvement is very high. The activities range from the creation of a pro-human rights mural, an activity of dance and music, a culinary activity, a sport and a few other more like a tour of the most emblematic of Barcelona, a talk on cooperation between Barcelona - Sarajevo during and after the war in the Balkans and a visit to the municipality of Santa Coloma de Gramenet. During and subsequent attempts to present the group with the technical and aldermen interested in the group and make dissemination of project progress also presenting the Cooperation Council of the Municipality. The impact does not end with the completion of the activities planned for the 8/9 group and the training group after Santa Coloma, but is intended to stop sediment displayed in various public places results and may have a second meeting where young Santa Coloma de Gramenet can travel to Sarajevo and see the city.
