Becoming an entrepreneur with a CD-ROM : Maximising the benefits derived from new information and communication technologies (NICT) so as to help improve qualifications for young unemployed people and new entrepreneurs, whilst promoting self-employment. The idea behind the "Virtual Enterprise" project, coordinated by the Cantabrian Association of Young Entrepreneurs was bold in scope. Two key instruments were deployed to achieve this ambitious aim: an entrepreneur simulator on CD-ROM and a forum for exchanging ideas, for debates and consultations. This project started in 2000 and lasted 24 months.
