EMPOWERING YOUTH POTENTIAL

Youth unemployment is the most significant problem that is faced by young people in Europe. With a focus on improving equity and inclusion, transversal skills, and entrepreneurship education, Empowering Youth Potential aims to increase the entrepreneurial spirit and skills of participants to enhance faster growth, social inclusion and European networking. The project also aims to help youth transition from education to labour market. Empowering their professional skills with non-formal educational tools. Growing their ability to face workplace issues, teamwork problems, to solve unexpected difficulties. Target Groups: Unemployed young people, recent graduates, students, youth leaders, young people with fewer opportunities. Main activities 1. Identifying a set of learning material and methods about entrepreneurial skills and mindsets; Youth Entrepreneurship Bootcamps: Young people from various cultures and nationalities (from partner’s countries) will be invited to participate in the Youth Entrepreneurship Boot Camp. The consortium will give special attention to select unemployed young people or with less opportunities. Youth Entrepreneurship 1. Bootcamps will be focused on the development of youth entrepreneurial spirit, with the aim of developing transversal skills; transfer know - how and experience of mentors and successful entrepreneurs, including social entrepreneurship. 2 Boot camps would be organized in Italy and Spain, during five days each for about 8 young people per participating country. Young people will have the opportunity to make study visits in the participating countries to start-ups and small businesses, to participate in workshops and discussions with experts. The Bootcamp on Youth Entrepreneurship is an innovative education model that enables the participants to learn in an applied setting and an intensive period of 5 days. It creates a strong network of peers, one of the most important for the continuity and success of new entrepreneurs factors. 2. Virtual Kit - The project will develop an informal Virtual Kit which will directly emanate from the participation at the Youth Entrepreneurship Boot CampsThe Virtual Kit will include success stories, accessible materials for capacity development, networking opportunities. The Virtual Kit will be a real tool that will give the opportunity for Young People to exchange skills and improve their entrepreneurial capacity in a collective way. It will be value open source, constructive, participatory and revolutionary approach on technology which will enhance the cooperation and support the capacity and the development of youth. Will increase the interest of young people in self-employment. 3. Final Conference- co-organized by a group of young entrepreneurs to motivate young people to raise their interest in acquiring entrepreneurial skills. 4. Competence assessment (to be done online) of all participants in the boot camps before and after the activity, in order to assess the upgrade of competences thanks to the activity. The competence assessment tool can be used also after the project and is a very important mean to make young people aware of their competences and how these competences upgrade thanks to international mobility activities, intercultural activities, entrepreneurship activities etc. The tool can be only in English (so that young people will have to use their foreign language competence (thus improving it) or translated in all the partnership languages. Beside of competence assessment (that is a self assessment) , at the end of each workcamp the youthpass will be issued. Consortium: 1 non-profit association working with mentoring programs: “I Am the Best”Talent Mentoring Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation (NGO) –( HU); 2 Foundations working actively with youth and with young people with fewer opportunities, Fundação da Juvendude (PT), Fundación Esplai (ES); and 1 no-profit research, training and career counselling.
