context/background of project
Since our already long term Tunisian partner is very involved and well recognized in the field of Employment and Entrepreneurship we believe that it is clearly fitting the wishes and goals of our candidate as volunteer. "lets act" is an EVS project (Erasmus + program, Learning Mobility of Individuals, Mobility of learners and staff, Youth mobility).
The main topics of this project are: Entrepreneurial learning - entrepreneurship education, Intercultural learning and Labor market issues incl. career guidance / youth unemployment.
Objectives of project
- to develop the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship
- to develop the communication in foreign languages
-to develop Social and civic competencies
Which are 3 key competences of 8 of the Youth Pass which will be used as one the main support.
Number and profile of participants
The accreditation will be given for maximum two volunteers; our participant will be the first; this number is ensuring a real quality of support and follow up to be provided by hosting and sending NGOs.
The volunteer selected was born in Köln - Germany; he is really motivated and is already involved in social field by working in an hospital; he is willing to study social work. And this experience should contribute to support him on this way.
Description of activities
The main activities of the volunteer in this project are:
-Discovering Tunisia and its reality
- Meeting as much as possible with Tunisian young people
-Discovering and knowing about social and youth work in Tunisia
-Contributing to a research about the situation of employment and entrepreneurship in the city where he will do his EVS .
-doing visits on land to all the stakeholders in the field of employment and entrepreneurship in the city.
-Organizing meetings discussions with youth associations, youth institutions, graduates of higher education and vocational training on the topics of employability and entrepreneurship.
-participation in seminars, meetings, debates organized by other institutions or youth organization on the topic at regional and national level.
-the volunteer also participate with his friends of our association in the monthly cultural excursions to other Tunisian cities to learn more about the country, customs, and better know the local situation and the socio-economic context of the country.
-other visits are also provided to some companies in the region to meet young entrepreneurs that are installed on their own behalf and to learn from their "success stories".
methodology to be used in carrying out the project
The methodology used to implement this project is the non normal education approach and the methodology of the learning peer to peer.
Impact on the participant:
He will acquire Knowledge, new skills and new attitude
the impact will be significant and include : Acquiring self-confidence, Self-management/ personality responsibility, Enhancing creative spirit, Better knowledge of business environment, The sense of innovation, Interpersonal communications, increased problem-solving and decision-making abilities and To develop positive attitude ; open mind according other cultures.
Foreign language could be the key to better chances on the labor-market and it offers to the volunteer an interesting field of experiences in his own country and of course abroad.
the potential longer term benefits
Being an active member of his community; participate and be part of decision making; better relationship with the environment and oneself; creative thinking; solidarity and group membership; teamwork. Gaining new skills for facilitating his future study and a better “employability”
During his project in Tunisia most of the volunteer activities require direct contact with administrations, institutions, organizations, youth and families, which will necessarily have an impact on them.
Tunisian youth will be encouraged , using his example, to make a voluntary service (EVS) in Europe.
Young people from the sending organization might be tempted to create entrepreneurship clubs.
