ELLIANT : Vivre l'Europe dans une commune rurale bretonne

The youth department of Elliant (3400 inhabitants) in Finistère (Brittany) host a volunteer for 12 months (May 2016-May 2017). Our goals are openness to another culture, provoke exchange, awareness of the European reality and live with the children first, local associations and also more widely with local people.The topics are the children leisure, arts and culture and rural development. The volunteer will mainly work with children from 3 to 12 years and possibly the town teenagers (11-17 years).Mainly in yout center, our voluntary linked the animation team, will participate in the activities of Wednesdays, holidays and times of school activities: support for children, workshops in connection with her country (cooking, language, games ...), organization and preparation of visits or outings games, summer camps preparation, equipment preparation, participation in summer camps. In addition, she will participate in the activities at the municipal library. According to their desires and skills, she can develop projects with youth people ans also local associations. Finally, we will propose her to animate exchange time on the theme of the European voluntary service on various occasions.With this project we intend to promote openness to Europe with locals people of Elliant. We will try to continue the dynamic host and exchange through the EVS but also other actions that may emerge after this experience.
